Some History

The lake was discovered in 1916, for the North American intervention. by the way many say that this cave was very popular with the aborigines of Hispaniola. Its name is due to the three lakes that are here, they really are four but only one can be seen from the outside. Another curious fact is that it is maintained so far, that it was only a single lake, but as a result of a telluric movement a part of its roof was demolished where the lake was separated by four lakes that communicate with each other. And if you still do not convince to visit it here comes another fact to see if you dare: In this place have been made several shoots of the Tarzan Monkey Man series. ajajajajaj and now you come?

Division of the lakes

Lake Sulfur This is the first lake that we have seen since we entered. Its name is due to the fact that a whitish substance can be noticed in its background and therefore the people who attended this place thought that it was sulfur, but after scientific studies it was shown that it was not sulfur but calcium and other minerals. It is 4 meters deep.

The fridge It is the second lake that we can see, its name is due to the low temperatures it reaches since it never receives sunlight. Its temperature ranges between 15 ° C and 21 ° C. It has a wooden boat to cross towards the lake Los Zaramagullones. It is 5.4 meters deep.

The Lake of the Ladies It is the third lake that we got to see, its name is due to the fact that it used to be a spa and because of its discreet location and because it is shallow, it was reserved for women and children. It is 2.5 meters deep in its deepest part.

The Zaramagullones This is the fourth lake, its name is due to a species of amphibious ducks that are native to the area. It has a natural vegetation that surrounds the lake. 6.1 meters deep. And it is the only lake that is outdoors, therefore it is not recognized as an eye. It is circular in shape and has a circumference of approximately 223 meters.
