"We were lucky to have an expert guide who showed us the convent and gave us information about the convent and its Inca history. Without a guide, it would not be impressive. One of the most interesting exhibits was the display of "LEGO" type stones that show how the Incas intertwined their large stones."

"This mid XVI Century church is a piece of jewel. If you are Catholic, impossible to do not feel the emotion here. I sat for a while, I talked to the guy who was taking care, you can see and feel the love and care of the people to this church. I feel blessed to had been here. it is a must to see, a lot of history"

"Built in 1564, colonial Gothic style and was the first convent of nuns, fired in 1586 by the pirate Francis Drake who stole the statue of the golden virgin covered in this facciata.Dentro its walls are the remains of Father Billini (writer and politics), which also gives its name to the street where the monastery church is located. Later, the monastery became a female public school in honor of the poet Salomé Ureña. Now the church is also used for weddings."
